Athletic Department Mission Statement

Encouraged by an excellent cheerleading program, the following sports are offered at the varsity, junior varsity and freshman levels: Girls: basketball, cross country, field hockey, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track (winter and spring), and volleyball. Boys: baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, tennis, track (winter and spring), and wrestling.

Sportsmanship Code

Middletown High School actively promotes and educates our coaches, student-athletes and spectators in the practice of good sportsmanship and appropriate behavior both on and off the field of competition. We expect that our participants will respect opponents and officials, and that show of respect is what makes competition a positive experience. We promote sportsmanship through positive behaviors and are proactive in preventing unsportsmanlike conduct.

Interested students are encouraged to directly contact the head coach of any sport(s) of interest to them. Any questions should be directed to Dr. Steve Johnson, Supervisor of Athletics, or Mr. Joe Lahutsky, Director of Athletics.
